Germán Echeverry, MD Miami, FL

Building healthcare for the patients the system overlooks.

Germán Echeverry has spent his career at the bedside of acutely ill patients across some of the country's most demanding hospitals — anesthesiology and critical-care training at UCSF, attending posts at Memorial Sloan Kettering, faculty appointments at Mount Sinai and Cornell, and ongoing work as a remote-presence intensivist for hospitals across the U.S.

In 2024 he co-founded Tuyo Health, the first fully bilingual, direct-to-consumer telemedicine platform in the United States. Tuyo offers primary care, weight management, sexual health, hormone therapy and mental health services in English and Spanish — with consultations starting at $30, no insurance required. Headquartered in Miami, the company operates across more than twenty states and has expanded into Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Colombia.

Before Tuyo, he served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures and Senior Medical Director at an early-stage telehealth startup. He earned his M.D. at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is board-certified in both anesthesiology and critical care medicine.

He builds at the intersection of medicine, technology, and social impact — guided by the belief that equitable healthcare is a human right, and technology can make it possible.
